Shree Krishna Janmashtami

He who is boundless and timeless Was bound in the womb of an imprisoned princess He by whose radiance shine the sun, moon and the Stars Was born on Earth when the Sun had set His dusky face radiated light all around All animals bathed in his immeasurable love Unable to contain their emotions The clouds burst forth into Thunderous showers The Yamuna sensing the Lord's presence Overflowed towards Mathura in  spate He who wills creation, appeared On the 8th day When the star Rohini was ascendent The birds seem to sing in joyous abandon The trees seemed to dance to their tunes All animals felt a benign energy pulsating through their bodies They came towards the Prison to catch a glimpse of their creator The noble father longed to hold his son and caress him Off fell the chains which from doing so had prevented him! The alert guards slept as though in a trance Indeed what is impossible for him who makes the cosmos dance! The lord who pervades everything

||Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha|| ||Om Shree Saraswatyay Namaha|| ||Om Shree Kuladevatyay Namaha|| ||Om Shree Samartha Sadguru Sainaathaya Namaha || || Om Namaha Shivaaya || Blessed is he who worships the beloved and is able to see him in all forms. Time and again several seers and prophets have come forth help mankind realize their full potential. According to Advaita, the one who has realized his self, is one with the almighty Parabrahman, for his ego will dissolve in the vast, unbounded ocean called God. One such avatar (Incarnation) was Bhagavan Shree Ramana Maharishi. I recently came upon an interesting conversation between Bhagavan and a devotee. It is deep and pithy! There is enough water here to quench anyone's thirst! D: The Upanishads say, I am told, that he alone knows the Atman whom the Atman chooses. Why should the Atman choose at all? If it choo ses, why some particular person? M: When the sun rises, some buds alone blossom, not all. Do you blame the sun for th

Helpful Mantras

|| Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha || Om Shree Saraswatyay Namaha || Om Shree Kuladevatyay Namaha || Om Shree Sainaathaya Namaha || Shree Rama Samartha || Om Namaha Shivaaya || I recently came upon a very good article in a community on facebook. It listed several Mantras, chanting which can help one in all round development. I believe that chanting of Mantras is similar to auto suggestion and affirmation. It can work wonders in one's life! As the saying goes, "Thoughts are things!". Therefore think positively, chant positive mantras, harness the power of good thoughts and prosper :) . I share this hoping that it may bring peace, harmony and prosperity on one and all. Mantra for a Child This mantra may be recited for getting a child, or for childless couples, who want a child. Mantra: Devaki-sut Govinda Vasudeva Jagatpate Dehi me tanayam Krishna Tvaamaham sharanam gataha Meaning: O Son of Devaki and Vasudeva, the Lord of the Universe O Krishna! give me a so

|| Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha || ||Om Shree Saraswatyay Namaha || ||Om Shree Chandralambayay Namaha || ||Om Shree Kuladevatyay Namaha || ||Om Shree Samartha Sadguru Sainathaya Namaha || ||Om Namaha Shivaaya || Om! I first meditate on the single tusked Lambodhara. He is the manifestation of that Hiranyagarbha (Golden egg state of the Universe before it was projected by the thought of God). He is the one manifest being who appeared as many. He is the source of all intelligence and leader of the heavenly army of Ganas (Attendants of Lord Shiva). His name is taken before beginning any auspicious task. Hence I beseech him to help me sing his glory. I then bow before Mother Saraswathi from whom the Vedas originated. All knowledge comes from her feet and flows like the subtle river which flows unseen to the naked eye.I then bow before Samartha Sadguru Sainath Maharaj. He is verily a manifestation of Lord Dattatreya, who roams the earth ever willing to help those who surrender to him. He appe

|| Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha || Om Shree Saraswatyay Namaha || Om Shree Kuladevatyay Namaha || Om Shree Chandralambyay Namaha || Om Shree Gurubhyo Namaha || || Om Namaha Shivaaya || Blessed are those, who remember the single tusked, elephant headed Lord of the Ganas. For their every obstacle is destroyed by his mere grace. He is the primordial power who was born from the womb of the Universal Mother and the God of God's Lord Shiva. By worshiping him alone, the consort of Parvathi destroyed the three celestial cities of the Asuras with his unerring arrow. I then bow before that God of God's to destroy all my shortcomings with his divine blessings. I bow to Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati who are the very embodiment of Prakruthi (Environment) and Purusha(Cosmic consciousness). I then bow before Mother Saraswathi, with her vermillon mark and divine musical instrument the veena has given birth to the Vedas. I then bow before my family diety Mother Chandrala Parameshwari, whose very

Datta Guru!

As I looked around at the many universes before me I started to question what really exists around me The advice of the vedic seers stood like a sentinel Negate everything around you that is unreal Keep negating the unreal around you Keep saying no Not this! Not this! (Neti Neti) Universe after universe started disappearing Soon I too drowned in the turbulent waters Then there appeared the Son of Anasuya Dressed in the garb of a Fakir! Contemplating on his own infinite nature he stood there Like sunlight he came and cleared the thick fog Hallaj too saw this vision in a trance Once established in this vision, he stuck to his stance With three Gunas and forms combined he stood there The eternal Guru, the only reality Sadguru Datta alone is real All else including "I" is illusory! -Shree GuruDeva Datta! -Shree Satchitananda Sadguru Sainath Maharaj Ki Jai! Bow to Shree Sai! Peace be to all!

A prosperous city

There is a prosperous city far far away Where for thousands of years spirituality has held sway! In this big town called Pandharapura Lives a Sahukar (rich landlord) called Vithoba His mansion is bigger than the biggest palace And there he lives with his consort Rukmai The many rooms in his mansion are occupied By many famous personages of the town Their names I happily narrate As I think longingly of the house of my lord Nivritthinath,Jnandev,Sopan, Muktabai Namdev, Tukaram, Ghora Kumbhara and Savata Mali Then there are Choka Mela, Damaji Pant Also with them is the goldsmith Narahari In other part of the mansion there are Samartha Ramdas and Gajanana of Shegaon There is also the son of Anasuya as Shreepada ShreeVallabha And there is Shree Nrusimha Saraswathi born at Lada Karanja There are also Shree Swami Samartha of Akkalkot And Manik Prabhu of Humanabad There is also my Sadguru the delightful fakir  Shree Sainath from Shirdi There is also the weaver poet Kabir and his guru Shree
