Santh Jnaneshwar : At Newase!

Om Jai Sai Ram! Blessed is he who has come into contact of the stories of Saints, for their stories are verily nectar to the ears. Such a one need not be afraid of Samsara, for indeed the Lord god has come close to them by creating an interest in them of his leelas (divine play). And the sadguru is none other than the same parabrahma. It is that very reason that makes a dullard like me sing the glory of the Lord. It is only by the grace of the Sadguru that I am able to sing his glory! I am merely an instrument in his hands. I therefore beseech the Sadguru to help me sing his glory in this post, for I am describing but his earlier incarnation as Jnanadeva. This incarnation was fabulous! Words are not enough to describe it! By the grace of the Sadguru only can he be praised!

Now as described in the previous post, Santh Jnaneshwar thought the haughty brahmins, the entire philosophy of advaitha and thought them how to get rid of their false egos and pride! The news spread like wild fire. People came to see Santh Jnaneshwar and his brothers and sister. The people started speaking to themselves thus "Can you believe it? Young Jnanoba made a buffalo chant the vedas! There is no doubt about it! Panduranga himself has come to help the poor and the downtrodden in this magnificient form.

Now the brother and sister saints went on a piligrimage. The buffalo Jnana followed them. It was the very same buffalo that had chanted the vedas and had enlightened the haughty brahmins of Paithan! While travelling thus, they reached Newase. It was almost dark and the weather was bad. It looked as though it was going to rain. There was no shelter in sight except a mosque. Now meandering from this topic, this was a time when the sufi saints were travelling all across the length and breadth of India. They were spreading Islam the peaceful way. This was much before Malik Kafur, the commander of Al-a-ud-din Khilji unleashed a cavalry of 40,000 plus on these lands and made life a living hell for the inhabitants. I beg forgiveness for meandering from the topic at hand.

As the brother and sisters saw no other shelter, Nivritthinath, the eldest and guru of them all spoke thus "Now my dear brother and sisters, we must seek shelter for the night. Let us go and stay in that mosque for the night." So they proceeded to the mosque. As they were about to enter it, a mullah (A person adept in Islamic theology) met them at the entrance. He was astounded to see children that young wander all by themselves with a buffalo. But he also was blind to humanity. He was an expert in Islamic theology. He spoke thus, "I am sorry my children! I know you must be tired and need shelter for the night! But I am bound by the laws of Sharia! I cannot allow kafirs (non-muslims) to enter the mosque. When he said this, Lord Jnanadeva addressed him thus "Oh mullah, I do not quite agree with you. Let us ask the mosque itself, to whom it belongs to?" and then Lord Jnaneshwar addressed the mosque thus "Oh holy place of worship! To whom do you belong to? Please tell us that!" . No sooner had Lord Jnaneshwar said this, there came a loud, booming thunderous voice out of the mosque "This mosque is for everyone!". The mullah felt as though the ground beneath his feet had suddenly disappeared. His knees went weak! He knew there was no one else in the mosque other than himself. " He addressed the children thus "Oh aulias (a friend of god literally translated from Arabic), for that is what you are! You must be very dear to Allah himself, for why else would he speak to us thus. Please pardon my ignorance and please enter the mosque. You may rest here for as long as you please. Please be my guest. I will personally fetch you vegetarian foods like dates and fruits and I will get some grass for the buffalo. Blessed will I be by Allah to have served you who is so dear and near to him!"

Lord Jnaneshwar told him thus "Oh mullah, god will certainly be pleased with you! You are very kind and are a good person. Remember this, god is the same no matter how you worship him and whatever you call him. Always keep that in mind! Help any creature who is in trouble. Then you will become close to god!"

The mullah bowed low before these saints and proceeded to make their stay comfortable. I bow with reverance to Panduranga who come to revive bhakthi in people as Nivritthinath,Jnanadev,Mukthabai and Sopan.

Jai Jai Ram Krishna Hari!

Anantha Koti Brahmanda Nayaka Raja dhi Raja Yogiraja Parabrahma Shree Satchitananda Sadguru Sainath Maharaj ki Jai!!!

Bow to Shree Sai! Peace be to all!
